Intelledox version 5.1 which has been in development and testing for the past 12 months is scheduled for public release in December. Many new features suggested by our own Intelledox team and also from client feedback are part of the release.
The major advance of version 5.1 is the monumental improvement in performance -- project save and load times have been cut to a fraction of the previous release. Administrators through to end users can expect even quicker response times though smarter programming that reduces network traffic and requires less server resources.
Intelledox 5.1 will provide even greater control over document generation, allowing designers to prompt users with multiline style text boxes that have new limitations on end user responses, such as maximum character entry. Also, project designers when creating complex formulas will be able to use the 'question lookup' tool allowing them to 'point and click' at elements to include in a calculation rather than having to manually key in syntactically correct formulas.
Of course version 5.1 will include a fresh new interface that looks great and is even more user friendly than before. The new interface allows end users to navigate back and forward through question wizards and answer files when generating documents, a popular request from clients.
The release in December does not mean a rest for our development and quality assurance teams, with many new features already being planned for the New Year, such as repeating questions and catering for custom validations though regular expressions.
